Vanessa believes strongly in the services Serenity provides to the community and continues the business on her own. Vanessa and Marlene worked together until 2013, when Marlene relocated to Missouri. In 2010, Vanessa, her husband and son flew to China to welcome a one year old daughter into their home, making their family complete. Vanessa started her private practice, Serenity Counseling, in 2008 with business partner, Marlene McDermott.
